Application
This kit can be used to measure Glucose (Glu) content in serum, plasma samples.
Detection significance
It is very important for diagnosis of hyperglycemia to accurate determination of glucose. Usually, there is also a variety of inhibition test and determination of glucose tolerance test at the same time with glucose measuring during finding the cause of these conditions. Glucose level increases seen in diabetes mellitus, glucose intake, cushing syndrome and cerebrovascular accident. Glucose content decreases seen in insulinoma, insulin overdose and congenital carbohydrate metabolism disorder.
Detection principle
Glucose oxidase can catalyze the oxidation of glucose to gluconic acid to produce hydrogen peroxide. In the presence of chromogenic oxygen receptors, peroxidase catalyzes hydrogen peroxide and oxidizes pigment sources to form colored substances. Measure the OD value at 505 nm and glucose content can be calculated indirectly.

Sample preparation
Serum (Plasma): Detect directly. Or dilute the sample with normal saline if the result exceeds the detection range of the kit (0.05~30 mmol/L).
Note: Serum or plasma should be isolated from the sample tube as soon as possible without hemolysis. Serum or plasma can be stored at 2~8℃ for 24h.

Mix fully, incubate in 37℃ water bath for 25 min. Set to zero with blank tube and measure the OD values of each tube with 1 cm cuvette at 505 nm. (After color development, the color is stable for at 2h.) |
Reference value
Normal human serum (plasma): 3.89-6.11 mmol/L (70-110 mg/dL). This is for reference only. It is recommended that each laboratory establishes its own reference value range.
Limitations of method
When the test result is more than 30 mmol/L, please dilute the sample with normal saline, and then multiply the dilution multiple in calculation
Technical parameter
1. The sensitivity of the kit is 0.05 mmol/L.
2. The intra-assay CV is 1.2 % and the inter-assay CV is 1.3%.
3. The recovery of the kit is 101 %.
4. The detection range of the kit is 0.05-30 mmol/L.
Notes
1. This kit is for research use only.

5. There may be a certain stimulative effect or toxicity while the reagents containing preservatives and stabilizer, please do not directly contact the skin and eyes. Rinsing with abundant water once the contact and do not swallow.
6. Separate serum or plasma from red blood cell immediately after blood collection to avoid the glycolysis. It can prevent the glycolysis within 24 hours if adding sodium fluoride.
7. Ensure the accuracy and reliability of the results, the quality control must be carry in each batch.
